“WHAT is going on here? I just don't GET it!”

Many of us have experienced this frustration while trying to learn. Most students and educators agree that learning has become more difficult over the past two and a half years. Let's take a look at a few reasons why:

* Most institutions of education have been trying to recover from March - August 2020, when schools and universities closed for the year and classes suddenly went online, and many of those schools stayed online, at least in theory, for the next year
* Most students have felt the pressure to catch up after being out of school while either in quarantine, having contracted COVID-19, or suffering the effects after receiving one of the vaccines
* Covid-19 has wreaked havoc on our institutions of education, with new processes to be written and implemented, usually repeatedly
* Many of us have had our lives changed by the loss of a loved one

If you are feeling this sort of frustration while trying to learn, please contact me. Or if you see your child in this situation, then please contact me. I'll be glad to set up a free consultation.
On top of that, we've undergone other stressors:

* The consequences of pandemic lockdowns on the psychological development of our youth, especially where social skills are concerned
* Supply chain shortages and their numerous consequences
* The consequences of our current administration's energy policy, including the prospect of yet a deeper economic recession and food shortages
* Other consequences of Russian military action in Ukraine, such as the prospect of nuclear war

These issues make focusing even more difficult, and no student who has set goals wants to fall behind. It may be time to hire a results-oriented professional tutor who works online during summers.

Most of my career has been spent in education, and I have taught middle school and high school students as well as college/university students, at both American and European institutions. I have also worked as a professional tutor, in formal positions (that is, working for high schools and universities) and privately (hired for ongoing one-on-one tutoring sessions). But rather than start with my journey, I'll begin with the question of value in hiring a professional tutor, where I explain my approach, which I call "Empowering the Mind."

Please leave your information, providing your phone number under "Comment" if you'd like me to call you directly.
